Bookkeeper - Full Time

Job Title: Bookkeeper

 

Job Description:

As a Bookkeeper at Premier Accounting & Tax Inc, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the financial records of our clients are accurate and up-to-date. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

2. Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

3. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are categorized correctly.

4. Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

5. Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.

6. Payroll Processing: Assist in processing employee payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.

7. Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.

8. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.

9. Client Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with clients regarding their financial records and respond to their inquiries promptly.
 

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

 

Education:

- A degree/diploma/certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
